Crataegus Laevigata

The Crataegus laevigata (Crataegus laevigata, synonym: Crataegus oxyacantha) is a plant of the rose family (Rosaceae). She looks a lot like the Common Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), only the differences discussed below.

The leaves are less deeply cut than the Common Hawthorn. The lobes are therefore shorter. They are also always blunt toothed. At the bottom lack the bushes her in the axils of the veins. The flowers usually have two styles. The fruits usually have two cores, sometimes three. Cultivars have red or pink flowers.
