Auranticarpa rhombifolia

Auranticarpa rhombifolia is a tree of temperate and subtropical rain forests of Eastern Australia. Known as the diamond blade pittosporum (Pittosporum Diamond Leaf), this tree is planted in many parts of Australia as an ornamental.

The white flowers and orange fruit make it a very attractive street tree or garden. Other common names include stick Holly (Hollywood), laurel leaf diamond (Diamond Laurel Leaf), Myrtle White (White Myrtle) and Holly White (White Holly).

Australian botanists recently examined the extensive genus Pittosporum and decided that the more northern specimens are significantly different from those in the south. Subsequently, a new genus was created Auranticarpa, which means "golden fruit."

The range of their natural range is in the brown-red basaltic soils from the Richmond River (28 ° S) to the National Park to Forty Mile Scrub (18 ° S) in tropical Queensland.
