Already in the year 1859 is an attempted use of Latua pubiflora demonstrated as an ornamental plant, as Richard Pearce, who worked for Veitch and Sons, plants of this species cultivated. About the whereabouts of these cultivated plants, there is little evidence, it is assumed that they just after 1900 disappeared from the culture. Recent cultivation experiments, such as the International Conifer Conservation Programme at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh report of successes, pull the plant to the year in the field.
